Thanks guys. A solid game, but the MP is dead-ish and a bit of a grind :-/
Probably the only game I will complete before you. You go Completion Beast!
That's pretty impressive. Nice job!
Nicely, i prefer The Walking Dead, but this game is no bad.
There seems to be a bit more meat to Walking Dead, but I really like the look of this gamepretty interesting too
Grats! How'd you like it?
My least favorite Dead Space, but still an okay game. Too many swarm/overwhelm encounters with enemies, not too scary. Also had to do 5 playthroughs!

Normally only have to do 4 for 100%, but I accidentally started the game with DLC installed, so I had to do another to get devil horns for later playthroughs.
I think the E looks better, but has no optical audio port, one less USB in the rear, and you can get a better deal on a Slim.

^^ what they said. plus you can get a slim for pretty cheap right now i bet since th eone just came out
Thanks for the input guys. The other option I may weigh is if I can ship my current box to MS and have them fix all issues for $100, I'll do that, cheapest option.
I'll be out of town for most of December and into January, so they can keep it for a bit if needed. The black friday deals for the 250gb slim/e were very enticing though.
I wouldn't invest $100 in the repair, the slim and E are 1000% more quiet, and much less heat.
Good points. It would also give me the opportunity for some double-boxing if I ever wanted to rent 2nd copies of Far Cry 2, etc. Decisions, decisions ...
did the cloud trick work?
I actually need it for my *next* playthough (Hardcore). I think my work around is to play to a checkpoint offline, then dashboard, then reconnect, copy to cloud, ...

... then resume playing offline. If I die, I'll stay offline, delete my save from the hdd, then reconnect to LIVE and copy the safe save from the cloud to the hdd.
When I get to the final boss I'll play online. It's pretty easy and I feel confident I wouldn't die at the end, so the cheevo will still be timestamped. So complicated.
an achievement like this settles the fact I won't play this game. MOH Hardcore was bad enough
If you have a working USB, it's not too bad. Very easy on Hardcore difficulty with the Devil Horns weapon. Just a couple cheap one-hit-kill areas to worry about.
Specifically Dead Space 3's Hardcore ... I want a backup on Cloud, but don't want that Cloud save to sync with my HDD save when the HDD save shows that I died ...
... and starts me from the beginning on the game again. I could play around with being on/off-line, but I'm not sure it doesn't sync again as soon as I reconnect @ dash
If you can quit out from the game & keep progress, I'd say keep your save on hdd, then every so often copy that save to the cloud. Then if you fail, delete that save and
copy the cloud save back to the hdd. If the game doesn't let you copy saves, then I'm not sure how you could do it.
