Damn! I have 3 PSPs and like 50 UMD games for it, not to mention some downloadables. I couldn't tell you how many hours I've burned on the PSP.

Playing Assassin's Creed 2 with the unlockables from Bloodlines was pretty awesome, and vice versa. I'm excited about the unlocks this time around as well.

It's a shame the 360 didn't partner up with the Zune HD the way they wanted to, and haven't stepped up their game with any of the phones.

Maybe in 2 generations they'll decide to get into the portable market.

If I used public transport I would prob be the same, but I live 5 minutes from the office & prefer to drive everywhere rather than rely on buses/trains etc.

Given the almost guaranteed lack of back-compat I'm not sure I'll be buying into the next gen at launch anymore.

Sony haven't sold me on a PS4 yet, Nintendo didn't even try with the Wii U. The ball's in MS's court right now, but I'm most intrigued by what Valve are going to do tbh.

they should be able to prevent hardware failures, or at least overheating...and next gen there will lots of updates, with most games being purchased broken.

I've always been seeing some interesting bits where "always on" is less about the internet and more about the electricity, as in your xbox will still be able to make

connections while offline. Similar to how TVs or computers that are "off" work. It wouldn't be obtrusive to gamers, and would allow for downloads even when the Xbox is

off, which I assume is a similar system Sony has put into place with their PS4 being able to "predict and download" what you want to play without telling it to download

For Sony, that's a feature of Playstation Plus, which you can disable. The "standby" functionality of the PS4 will be for charging controllers while the system is "off".

That feature also includes automatic updating and automatic copying of gamesaves to Cloud storage, which comes with Plus.

For the record I don't like automatic features in things. I don't use it, but I know there's a demand for it.

As for the Durango -- the conversation was specifically about it always needing to be connected to the internet. It was inquired about, which led to the twitter feed.

And for anyone that didn't know, the 3DS always searches for an update when first connecting to a network, before doing anything else.

Yup, trouble is the likelihood of seeing something that merges a compelling story with actual gameplay is slim to nothing. Max Payne 3 is prob closest to doing that ..

In JRPG land I'd say that Lost Odyssey far exceeded Walking Dead's story/character involvement. But the JRPG-ness is a put off for many.

It doesn't mention anything about used games...it is just their speculation...but the documentation says nothing of it...just them spreading rumors.

It's not in their best interest to stop people from buying used games. Microsoft makes their money on our gold accounts, not the systems.

The only decent leak about xbox was the strategy doc leaked a few years back, that's proven pretty accurate since.

Mandatory installs is a good thing if true.. Finally games can take advantage of running on a hdd instead of having to cope with disc read speeds.

Long overdue IMO, consoles need to compete with pc gaming and running off a disc is holding them back. Please give us an ssd option too!

Do not agree Durera. Disc install should ALWAYS be optional to install. One of great things about consoles is they are pick up and play.

How does a one time, 10-15 min install stop it being pick up and play? My iPad is pick up and play, so is my steam library .. My console requires me to dig out a disc.

Storage is so cheap now, there's no reason to stick with the technically inferior option of playing from disc in the next gen. Lets take full advantage of the technology
