Top 10 Arcade Wish List
Ive been gaming for almost 30 years, in that time I have played so many awesome games many of which I will never play again because I will probably never buy any of the consoles of yesteryear. This list is of games that are not available on XBOX live but are of the games I would love to see appear on XBOX Live. In an effort to be as realistic as possible I am going to stay away from Nintendo Exclusive franchises like Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong.
Aerobiz
I bet nobody reading this has ever heard of this gem, let alone played it. Basically what you do is run your own airplane business. I cant remember how many cities were in it but I think it was 21. The game came with two separate scenarios, one was when air travel was starting off and the other is of recent years. You compete with three other businesses. I spent years of my life playing Aerobiz, I loved it so much I had it and the sequel on my Genesis and my SNES.
Robocop vs. Terminator
Another game that was on both the Genesis and the SNES. If I wasnt playing Aerobiz I was loving this title. For its time I thought the graphics were awesome and if you have the Genesis version you were blessed with blood. To me this was a big deal because I was into playing Mortal Kombat at the arcade around the corner from me.
Casino Kid
This is my all time favorite gambling game. You go through a casino trying to bankrupt poker and blackjack dealers. I played it so much I knew how each opponent played but there was a couple Blackjack dealers that tended to cheat, or so it felt that way to me. I tried the sequel but the charm from the original was gone.
Road Rash 2
Possibly my favorite racing game but it was also the one that frustrated me the most. The first time I played it I was amazed there was a motorcycle racing game where you can beat your opponents. I loved it when I was able to get the chain or club and knock people off there bike with one or two hits. The Road Rash franchise made it to the PS1 but the games were not as awesome as the Genesis version. If a new game came out I would strongly consider a day one purchase.
Cruis'n USA
Besides Mortal Kombat this was my favorite Arcade game. When I would visit my dad on the weekends I would hope to go to pizza so I could play som Cruis'n USA. I never did buy this for my Nintendo 64 but the fun I had in the arcade seemingly never would end.
Shadows of the Empire
I want this on more because I need revenge on Bobba Fett. I never could beat this guy and now that I have more gaming skills its time for me to kick his ass. The gameplay was okay for its day but there is now way it would hold up to todays standards.
Wall Street Kid
Just like to Casino Kid you are a guy trying to make a living on the stock market. Instead of just making money there is a story to it, you have to reach certain financial milestone in a certain amount of time or you lose. Sounds easy but the fluctuation of the stocks would change most games.
8 Bit Nintendo Monopoly
My favorite version of Monopoly I had ever played. Monopoly is my second favorite board game behind risk. Because I love Monopoly so much and nobody would play with me this game was essential for me. Looking back the game was far to easy because I knew exactly what the AI would do and how I could accumulate properties. I played it so much I knew down to the dollar how much I could buy properties for, believe it or not you could buy Baltic and Mediterranean for less than what the AI paid for it.
RC Pro Am
Another awesome racing game from yesteryear. I was able to get through about 2/3 of the races before I would finally lose. I remember when I got my game genie I tried to see what I could use for cheats. One of the cheats would make it where your opponents would drive in circles on the first lap. This was a perfect example of how cheats can ruin a perfectly good game.
Dragon Warrior
About 12 years ago I bought this game because it was recommended to me. I loved it so much, my second favorite RPG behind Final Fantasy Tactics. I never did beat it, only because I didnt know where to go. I was so powerful none of the enemies were able to hurt me, if I did take any damage it would regenerate so fast it didnt matter. If I still had a Nintendo this would be a must have because with the advances in internet there is no way I wouldnt beat it.
