With the name Xbox One, I can't help but imagine the console as an HD remake of the original Xbox. Developers have a love affair with HD remakes, why not console makers?

the xbox 360 is barely backwards compatible with original xbox titles. id rather them just say NO to backwards compatibility like they did, than serve a broke emulator

Exactly. We already have a backwards compatible device for 360 games. It's called the Xbox 360.
