Great Friends on Xbox Live
I want to thank my good friends on Xbox Live for great last few years. Am I going away? NO. But as you may have seen on a post within the past year, I received a promotion at work. This promotion has me traveling quite a bit which really cuts into one of my favorite past times, GAMING.
As I think back to my youth and the Atari system my dad bought, or the original Nintendo that I bought brand new, I never expected gaming to get to where it is. I never expected to buy another gaming system after the Nintendo because, though Super Mario Brothers, Legend of Zelda, and Mike Tyson's Punchout were fun, the graphics were not something that I needed to keep coming back for.
About 7 years ago I decided to purchase my first gaming system as an adult. We bought the Original Wii mainly for Wii Fit and to try and stay more active. This system amazed me at how far video game graphics had come since my Nintendo. A couple of years passed and I began looking closer at other systems that seemed more exciting than throwing my arms around with a stick in my hand. This was when I truly got hooked. I purchased a new Xbox with Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 and never looked back.
Today I find myself with over 300 games and not enough time to play all of them. Every year I stock up on Black Friday with more new games, further extending my backlog. I then have the conundrum of deciding whether to play older games to get them completed or start on my new games. Do I try and hurry to complete games that may have servers shutting down, or not worry about them? Do I sign up for gaming sessions to complete multiplayer achievements on games that I have not started when the opportunity comes up, or do I focus on a game or two at a time? So many games, so little time.
But, back to my friends.... who without them, the experience would not be the same. As I look toward the future, I ask that you bear with me and know that if I don't respond to you right away, it doesn't mean that I am ignoring you. If I tell you that I want to boost with you, that will not change, however the timeframe may shift at times due to other obligations. Just stick with me and know that I will do my best to keep the gaming going.
