I know all that stuff is optional I use the apps all the time netflix, lovefilm, not tv. I don't see how its a bad thing for a more streamlined and convenient experience

It could go either way. 1. Sony rides on the positive wave and disregards all poss. of fee's for used games, 2. Sony sees the poss. of earning more money and follow suit.

Yeah, overall it's OK and Ign.com says GT and gamerscore will carry over. That's a big relief, can always go back and play 360 with the same profile.
