it depends on what you have your friend feed set at. As long as you don't have it set to the max, we should be able to fill it.

Now that I scroll through my feed, it does not look possible to fill a feed with comments. From what I see, you get X amount of friend entries, always.

The comments on said entries are independent of your max friend feed number :(
