I'll give it a fair shake and give it some time for all the details to be accurate before I fly off the handle, however.
Orly?
Sarcasm tag missing?

All about E3 now... Expectations are so low that MS need to come out fighting.
With that free broom prop provided by Disney.
Yep! Broomball, anyone?
With the DRM I'm seriously hoping for something where you can simply "rent" (off the net or cloud) games for perhaps a 5 day period. Like the old rental store days?
Like RedBox, but right off the console.

That was confusing. So you can link accounts? Can my friend in my house play a game on another console in my house so we can boost? CONFUSING!
hey!
They're holding off details until launch. We'll find out the details of the bill after they've passed it.
Link brought to you by Beavis lol
Rent games off the cloud? Download a 25+ gigabyte game? BWAHAHAFUCKINGHA! It takes me roughly 3 hours to get a 1gig game off of GoG. By the time I get the "rental" DL'd
the time would be expired.
^. According to their press release on the 21st, users would be able to play games as they were downloading... so...
*snort* And I can watch videos while they're buffering too. Well, 15 seconds or so at a time, but technically true.
Besides... Who says the rental has to start when you start downloading?
I downloaded the NCAA 13 early release last year. 7GB. I know I was in WY, but know how long it took? 30 hours. It was a 3-day early release. 30 friggin hours.
So the time that the period begins is important, especially if the assumption is that you can play during download.
The cloud won't work for everyone. The infrastructure can't handle it for everyone. I've been screaming into the abyss about this.
^ agreed. I'm not sure how exactly they can handle all of what they're claiming. Must be some serious server action there. Anyway. Their claim. It was just a thought.
I didn't touch the Cloud for the 360......I don't know why they want to push it so bad with this console.
That link answers nothing Chipp. If anything it simply confirms my previous thoughts. Microsoft is being VERY sneaky with all answers surrounding used games. This ENTIRE
Situation reeks of "preventative damage control". They saw the outrage at the rumors and are ABSOLUTELY desperate to put a spin on it. Used games have gone away methinks.
The internet over there was that bad? I just downloaded 1.7 GB or so yesterday it took about 15 min max.
Unimpressive, even.

Fighting words if I ever heard em.
I bet he makes a better cup of coffee though ;)
Is there an achievement for that? If so, I bet he'll stop making it.
Harsh but fair!
GOGOGO!
Mmmm quesadillas.
Go zus!
i'm sure the taco bell will be finished with you before you finish Tropico 4
Cool ranch Doritos tacos!
How is it?
It's all idiots bitching about trivial things. It will blow over.

Lol. I like the new controller.
Hate about none of my arcade games crossing over, Hate about no backwards compatibility. Hate about 86ing avatars after they got us to like them. Yeah....HATE!!!
I'm just going to stop trying to talk sense in to people bitching about backwards compatibility and laugh at the derp conclusions some of them come to.
They only thing to really be upset about is the used game hassle. That is kind of a dick move. They are punishing an entire community for a few law breakers.
Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me. It seems to hurt more than help. Not to mention having to register it online. I owned a box for some time without a connection...
My only concern would be when you first buy the console and only have a few select titles to play. That and having to buy games just to use it almost
Other than that, I don't see a problem with no backward compatibility. Just wallets being emptied like hell, ;p
Requiring a connection is difficult for some people... unless they allow you to phone in the code.
As far as backwards compatibility... you have a 360, right?
For backwards compatibility, how many people still play original xbox games on their xbox360?
Exactly.
I dont believe rumors and even if true all.subject to change especially based on consumer feedback and focus groups. I've no doubt it will be great if not
For long wait for good selection of games and high price. I know they make.more money off people who dont care bout achievements but
If that results in more expensive boosting or gaming...die hard will have to work for more $ to game & others may start playing just for fun due to cost. God forbid!
I think a lot of people are overreacting like usual, making assumptions, and reading a lot into side interviews where ms cant show all their cards yet.
It will probably be more clear after e3 and pax, once sony has shown their cards
A good time to join the darkside I suppose.
I play Xbox1 games on the 360 but it was horribly supported and there was shit all supported. Same goes for 720 then screw this shit my 360 is 5 years old it ant lasting
beyond 2014
That was quick!
LOL! As long as Naomi doesn't say that to me! }:>

Congrats!
congrats fun game!
Congrats...this one is on my to-do list as well
/South Park Ski Instructor: If you wanna play on a second console, yer gonna have a bad time...
I boost a lot on my own consoles.
I was considering picking up 3 more copies (plus another xbox) of Naruto: The Broken Bond to self-boost to Hokage. And another copy of Halo4...
My reading the the major nelson posts is that you can only INSTALL to one xbox. Any others will need the disc to start.
I thought it said you could install it to as many as you want, but you'll need to buy a new key for any but the original installation.
They have basically gone down the PC gaming route, so the game code will be assigned to your profile. Can see why EA ditched online passes now..
its seems like its xbox version of steam
I agree with Rhy. Sounds like your friends can play it on your system, you can even take it to their house but only you can play it.
Essentially discs will become XBLA games. It's the old PC one-time-code deal. Oh yeah, and they can revoke your license at any time.
Looks like I'll only be needing one console and one tag! (Except for region-locked games.) Saves me money.
Not sure about the friends playing it on yours. It looks like it's account-locked. You can play it on theirs, but only if you sign in your profile.
Thing is this can't be the reason EA did away with passes because ps4 isn't doing this so EA will still have the used game problem
Unless EA is going MS exclusive...
Doubt they are that stupid
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-05-22-phil-harrison-tries-again-to-clarify-game-ownership-second-hand-sales-and-always-online-in-xbox-one
I have a hunch they will have something worked out at least for a second xbox in the household, but we will see sometime when it is closer to market.
That article makes things more confusing, and with this online crap, what about people who don't have Internet ur gonna lose lots of consumers this way
Read the press releases please! you can play on any console you want provided it has your gamertag on it. You stream the game from the cloud!
Also, if someone borrows your game, they have the option to install it and pay for it. If not they will have limited access, basically a time-limited demo.
You know they want your money so they will do everything they can to get it.
I never read that they get limited access, even Xbox support on twitter said nothing had been said about used games other than they will allow it and more will about late
Is this any fun? Easy completion?
yeah, fun and easy game!
:)
Damn...
Is there a good ending? And does it depend on playing Metro 2033 or not?
...there are 10 other comments
There are two endings, and both assume that 2033 ended in a particular way from the beginning.
Yeah i kinda didn't like how the carried on from one of the endings from number one. There was no point choosing otherwise
They began LL with the ending from the book. The other ending wasn't an option in the original story.
So what was the point I dont feel so tempted to play the 1st now.
Seriously, Mat? This isn't Mass Effect. There's only one published book. The game gave you a chance to change the ending.
Stop making judgments about games you haven't played. You don't want to play either one, it's your call. But you lose any credibility in criticizing them.
When they made the first, they were to expecting to make a sequel. With a sequel, they chose one direction and built the story around it.
Name one game that took an integral part of the previous game's ending branching in the sequel. It hasn't been done yet.
What you'd be asking for would be two parallel games. It would be impossible to take both of those endings into consideration as a basis for LL.
In the meantime, you're just coming across as a troll. That's not what you meant, right?
Only 10k from the six digit club!
You da best!!
Congrats.
Thanks
congrats!
Looks like you're starting to pick up some steam! Nice job. Let me know when you're ready for some co-op or mp...
sounds great
Took me ten minutes to explain that the points didn't mean anything but were just like a "kudos" to brag about....
Sounds like me when i started Xbox
For quite a while I though GS and MSP were the same thing
I'm rich!
lol when I got my xbox at launch, I thought the same thing for a while
If only that were the case my friend.
Bahahaha!
Interested in boosting the online.
I'd do some boosting.
easy, medium or hard ? for 100% ,,
I have this too, haven't even started
