Last Blog of 2012 (Recap)
As I'm sat in Cornwall visiting the girlfriends family, I thought it would be a good time to write the a final blog of 2012.
The race to 100k didnt really work out unfortunatley, work commitments meant that gaming had to unfortunatly take a back seat (its still tough out there for Mortgage Brokers!). Having said that, looking back on my stats, I'm pleased to see that I've gained more gamerscore in 2012 than any other year, I've also managed to improve my completion by a few per cent!
FAVOURITE GAME OF 2012 - I've managed to play most of the big releases this year but have to say that my favourite game was 'Sleeping Dogs'. I just loved the whole setting and depsite the occasional glitch, felt that the whole game sucked me in and I didnt wang to put it down until I had finished everything. Its kind of like a rough round the endges version of GTA. I also loved the fact that the achievements were just a question of perseverance and not multiplayer/luck based. I was also a massive fan of Lollipop Chainsaw, a game I wasnt really expecting much from at all. Huge amounts of fun in that one.
I decided that I really needed to give myself a push in terms of gamerscore so decided to sign up for the GTASC13. I've never really played with the guys I have signed up with but I reckon that being in a competition this way will help me focus on scoring as much as possible! Personally I have to try and balance this witgh not dropping my completion (easy kids game ahoy!).
On a personal front for 2013, its all about quitting the fags. I'm a serial 'giver upper' but have really decided enough is enough. Its not just the cost either. Creeping up to the mid 30's you realise that you need to start looking after yourself!
To everyone on my friends list, I hope you have all had a great Christmas and reach whatever goals you are going for in 2013!
