I bought the double coin boost right at the beginning, as that 5k achievement was a real pain for me...
Started chipping away at the Win 8 version. WP any easier?
It's pretty much the same, I might have found it easier on the phone, but that might be because I had already played it on a W8 tablet.

Lucas would be the one to ask for tips... not me, I just read the comments on the solution here and still struggled. You can buy (with real money) permanent double coins.
It was a lot of luck for me. I made sure to use the bomb power up to blast me farther and revive of course. But the luck part came with
The end when u spin. I got 1 extra bomb and then a free revive so collect as many spin tokens as you can
