I realized after finishing this what I didn't like about Dead Rising. It stresses me out when I can't get everything done in time, even when it's impossible to do so.

That's why I always focused on just a few things each playthrough in Dead Rising. Then it's not stressful at all.

A single play for saving all survivors, another for the calls from Otis, another for doing all the case files, etc.

...and then I feel guilty when people die. I want to be SuperSasha.

It's not impossible it just requires better knowledge of the map and good time management. I'm playing the original again and all its doing is strengthening....

I know what you mean. At some point I wish there was more time to just run around and safe fuck the story line.

...my belief that the sequel will be truly magnificent. I will agree that it isn't for everyone. At least you got a cheap taste and can make an informed decision on DR2.

Funny you should say that. The achievement "Frank the Pimp" is actually easier if you kill a majority of the survivors.

I didn't dislike Case Zero, not at all. I really think that it's done well, and will be a great game, but not for me.

I still have the original, but couldn't remember why I didn't want to replay it. It's because the idea of replays is in direct opposition to the idea of an apocalypse.

And I think the one for calls for Otis is too. It's been a while.. But the game has a simple formula for how many cases you can have, and killing people ends the case.

I mean, I really like apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic media, film, books, etc. But the thing is that it's so final, and how the people act is so important.

A game where you have to replay feels wrong, but it's an opinion. I'm sure others like the idea of taking that scenario and letting you choose your own way.

Dead Rising was never supposed to be a serious, emotional game ... it's about trying different things. Embrace replays and Dead Rising is an easy 2000 TA game.

(But I guess, in that sense, take away the achievements and let me just play it. This is one game where I think achievements hurt the premise.)

You can always save "Saint" for last like I did. Then you'll end the game on a high note (sort of, you won't get the best ending. Getting the best ending and all ...

survivors saved is impossible IIRC. In that way it is realistic - you can't win at everything).

Couldn't disagree more. I never would have tried a ton of the stuff in DR if it weren't for achievements.

Dead Rising gets better as you play it more. The PP levelling system adds massive replayability and as you level up the game becomes easier and more fun/less tense.

This game seems to be a hotbed of discussion right now. I LOVE DEAD RISING! I'm actually waiting in Carlito's Hideout right now waiting for Overtime Mode!!!

Dead Rising defiently needed to grow on me, but I can't deny my love of the game anymore. I really felt they improved zombie and survivor AI. I also like the Home Alone..

There's no such thing as "an easy 2000TA game." Unless you meant DR is one of the easier games with that value. But heck, X-Blades takes vastly less time.

Yes, there is. Because TA doesn't = difficulty. Tons of the achievements are for things that most people don't care to do, or think are difficult when they're really not.

7 Day Survivor boils down to sitting in corners and eating pizza. Grab the Mega Buster and the bosses are a joke. There's a great guide out there for "Frank the Pimp".

You just need knowledge and a little patience with the odd mechanics. I found the game hard at first, but once you "get" it it's almost ... mechanical getting them all.

Popularity matters too. Fairytale Fights: 2900 TA, Halo 3 ODST: 1300 TA. No way FF is THAT much harder than ODST. No way.

Plus the fact that, if the only hard achievements are worth a low GS, then an extremely difficult 1k may still have a low TA score, which is misleading.

however 93% comes in close lol

call of duty classic, call of duty 4, call of duty modern warfare 2 aren't really easy

it can be fun, no one online thoughh :(, and bad graphics I was quite disappointed with this one

Oh fuck I forgot about that. Sasha I have to warn you, I can only handle so many disconnects before I will say "fuck it" during Endure runs.

I disconnected on the final wave, you'll probably think im lieing but me and A Wise Soldier seriously did. \:

Ive also have been disconnected on the final wave. I was so happy I smashed a controller.

I've noticed on Bungie.net that there have been a lot of people with that problem. Too many people trying the same thing? Doesn't matter, looks like MS's fault.

And Alpha, I'm the same way. We were actually testing the waters for an Endure run (EPIC fail) then just decided to play through a full Firefight to 200k.

I DCed about 8-12 times before finally getting Endure. You only seem to DC when you're about to get the achievement, typically.

Oh well, makes it even more rewarding when you finally get it. Especially when you do it without losing a single life.. xD

Never disconnected, we had some lagg spikes though...

Maybe it's just where I live, but Live has been sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow lately. Regular PC stuff is fine (Netflix streaming, etc.) but Live has been cranky.

It's actually the worst game I've ever played, but you could probably finish it in a day or at worst 2. It took me 4. I just couldn't play it all in one sitting.

Guess I'll pass on it. For now at least. I'm tired of shit games right now.
