The reveal of the new system makes me less motivated to play my 360 now, if they are just gonna delete the 360 servers by 2015 as it is rumored.

Especially if achievements are non transferable.

I actually don't mind having no backwards compatibility, as long as I could move my account back & forth between X360 and XOne then I won't mind

You should be able to just sign into your account regularly on either console - just can't be signed in on both at the same time. Much like how it works now.

Yeah, I can't imagine the achievements not carrying over - it's tied to your profile.

Well you can use your Windows Phone and Windows 8 PC games at the same time as Your 360.. So I imagine you can use both 360 and One at same time.

Sony is a viable alternative even if they go a similar route as long as they keep playstation plus and it's free games which is a huge value over Gold.

It shouldn't be the case that we the gamer have to choose between a group of disappointing options in this day and age.

Depending on the fee to play the game they completely fucked up. For example if the fee is $20 then I'm just going to buy games used and install to the HDD. After that

I'll just return the game to the store so all I paid is the used fee.

Also achievements will be totally different for the next Xbox - they dynamically change so completionists probably won't like that. Also, it may be separate from 360 achs

Also the always online issue is basically true because your saves and content are saved to the cloud which can't be accessed unless you are online.

To install the game to the HDD you must be connected to the internet as well so how is the always online rumor false? If you don't have connection for a day you can't

load your save or start a new game.

500GB hard drive.... Blu Ray disc games around 25GB a pace. Forced installation and no used/rentals? PS4 just might be calling my name cause I don't need next gen TIVO

I don't think they have actually announced that the games will be Blu Ray format, just that there will be a Blu Ray player built in.

The only good thing about this is it's going to drastically reduce the amount of money I spend on games.

Also, they advertise all the high end capabilities, but my guess is we may find out those only exist on the priciest model.

I liked what I saw overall, but I HATE that they can't be transparent and/or they choose to stretch it out to E3 as a tease.

A little concerned about the words "only on xbox" coming out of the EA guys mouth. Other than that, my only negative thoughts are in regards to them not addressing the

rumors on console locking games and the fact that Kinect appears to be 100% integrated (since I'm physically incapable of using it beyond speech commands).

I'm also not a huge fan of the Kinect enabled stuff, seems like they are trying to force it on us.

Totally agree re: Kinect. Hope most developers just use it as an optional voice command interface. Party games will be fun, but don't mess with core shooters, etc.

Yeah I noticed they didn't really talk about much, or about achievements. I am glad though that it will have Blu-ray and I think 500GB of storage.

I don't really care about CoD anymore other than to play the story once, then I'm done. It's seriously old news like Gears of War. I'm ready for the new.

I highly doubt they will have backwards compatibility, except for maybe a few big games, like they did with the 360 but maybe even less. It's difficult to do.

They've already confirmed that it won't be always-online before this Xbox One reveal. I'm pretty sure that was official, but I could be wrong.

I'm still listening to the chat on gamespot.com and they said someone confirmed afterwards that there was no always online.

But Kotaku(?) said they were going to try to block used game sales somehow, so we shall see.

I don't know, because where can you go from "Infinity"? Infinity +1, of course, but with One they can start fresh with their new "All in One" mantra.

Of course, the generation after will be difficult because if they call it Xbox Two, they'll need a silly tagline like "Two-gether as One". Hmm... What's their number? ;)
