Lower prices wouldn't be for new releases, but for lowering prices faster after it did release. We should be thankful thay next gen games are staying the same price.

I don't see how we should be happy prices stay the same this gen. Xbox 360 games were the same price as NES games. And cheaper than some SNES games

Newsflash, still not getting games for free. Games will be priced to sell based on age, demand, target market, etc. Why is this stuff so hard to understand?

Keep in mind that disc production costs are nominal, and most of the supply chain cost is borne by the retailer.

To the " how many of those games you'd pay $60 for" I go by a rule i made. It's worth one dollar per hour of enjoyment i've gotten from it.

'More expensive to produce' is a result of the game companies chasing the graphics dragon. It's a bed of their own making. I feel zero sympathy for that.

Especially when guys like CliffyB use the ballooning budgets as a reason to clamp down on used & rental games.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Graphics sell, of course they are used to compete with each other. But graphics look awesome based on what you're used to

From my perspective, are the services provided by raptr worth more than the risk of relying on some website's safekeeping of your XBL account? For me, the answer is no.

never used raptr. i believe my "hack" came from my EA account or a strangely under-reported XBL password theft that happened around the time of the PS theft.

I am on Raptr. Their requirement for the Live password is pretty iffy, but I changed mine right after Raptr did it's thing and it's still working fine.
