Raptures Lost - Collector of gaming stuff! #1
I'm currently in the process of considering options on what to make my next top ten list about (suggestions welcome). Anyway, I have decided to make a series of blogs based around some of the things that I have recently started collecting, along with information on what they are and where they are from. The vast majority are based around some of my favorite characters from games present and past. Enjoy
William Birkin (Resident Evil 2)William Birkin was an extremely knowledgeable scientist for the Umbrella Corporation that discovered the G-Virus and the person responsible for the Raccoon City Outbreak. He was the main antagonist of Resident Evil 2
After completing his research on the G-Virus Birkin was shot and his research was stolen, with moments to live he did the only thing that he could, he injected himself with the G-Virus.
The figure I will be showing you will be of his second transformation after injecting himself-
(Picture from RES 2)(Figure)In this form, Birkin’s head has been forced down into the chest to be replaced by a new skull, the right hand has sprouted large, bone talons, and two new arms have beginning to develop underneath the originals. In this form, it possesses all the same abilities as the first transformation nut now has the added advantage of its sharp talons. In this form, it attacks by slashing and stabbing at its opponents with its new claw.
I instantly fell in love with this figure when I first saw it, I have always been interested in the William Birkin story and to this day RES 2 is still my favorite of the series.
Overall it is a very well crafted figure with serious amounts of detail in just about every department. Some of my favorite features include the ability to move the large eye with a little stick at the back of the figure and a small piece of cloth attached to simulate his torn lab coat.
Cost - £15.99Thanks for reading guys, tell me about your collectables in the comments? :)
