The game's side of things is def' going to be interesting, shame about non-backwards compatability though. I know I'll end up buying one eventually anyway...

..just depends on price and money around the time it releases as to how early I'll get one. Otherwise, my backlog will be keeping me entertained for years!

i honestly don't care about backwards compatibility, i dont play any of my ps2 games on my ps3 (yes i have one that worked), and i have my 360 to play stuff i have on bac

@chronic kaos- they didn`t show much real gameplay at all, it was mostly FMV! PS4 showed a hell of a lot more in game footage for sure... We need E3 to hurry up

no back comp will be a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people. I think with the launch line up at E3 people will change their tune.

The reason I would like BC is because there is well over a year or more of gaming left in the current gen lineup..der be aloot of games oot der!!!

I was sold until no backwards compatibility was confirmed. I might just go crazy and trade in my 360 and its games though. Plenty time to decide!

I don't get the importance of backwards compatibility. There's nothing stopping anyone from having multiple setups.

I think it's mostly a peace of mind for backlogs thanks to the importance of achievements. Who wants to have extra 360s sitting in storage in case of hardware failure?

I am not in it for the backwards compat. Why would you want to play your old games on the new system. Everyone has gotten spoiled with the backwards compat.

I agree with Lita, I still have my NES, SNES, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Sega Satarn sitting on my shelf. There is nothing wrong with multiple setups

these old games, aren't old imo. Is Bioshock Inifinite old? Will GTA V be old? On the other hand, why do I even need a new console? 15 exclusive games in a year? TV &

sports? Trending? If it the 'one' then they would have been intelligent, added BC, and overtook there 'old' system by destroying it with BC.

Thus far, and in the likely future, there is nothing, not even a game that will make this a day one purchase. There are still excellent games slated for the 360. Wii U!

Yeah from what I'm reading you have to pay a fee to play used games once the code has been assigned to an account . This will also basically make renting games pointless.

That would be a no-go for me.

Seems the 'activation fee' is the full price of the game! I foresee MS allowing you to trade your code in for a very small discount off another game..

I'm a big fan of Microsoft but they can get fucked on restricting used games.

We'll see how this plays out... Pissing off their primary retail outlet in the US (GameStop) isn't good business for Microsoft...

Not to mention eliminating probably 1/3 of their customer base who don't have internet connectivity.

I'm still absolutely shocked... Not that they would want to to implement all these things... BUT that they actually did.

Anyhow, not sure if I'll go PS4 for just PC for next gen... Still not sure that MS won't back down also but if they do I got the same username on Steam/PSN as I do here.
