Time to rewind
No, I'm not buying an Xbox One. For several reasons. It's too expensive. It doesn't play 360 games. And I have an awful lot of 360 games still to get through. Until I've made a sizeable dent in this rather large backlog, it seems mad to even consider buying another console.
Having decided to focus on clearing the backlog, revisiting games that have been languishing at the tail-end of the achievement to-do list (often with a measly 1 or 2 achievements to their name), it struck me that quite a few games were abandoned and, worse still, traded in favour of a newer, shinier alternative.
I think it's time to rewind. I need to re-buy copies of those abandoned games and make a decent effort at completing them. Those who know me will say "Grey Man, you crazy fool, you already have a chunky catalogue of old games to finish, what's the point of adding any more?" But the point is, I've already started these games. And they sit there in the list, haunting me with their pathetically low completion percentage. I just can't bear it.
So, let's get on with it. Here goes…
Aliens vs. Predator
Call of Duty 3
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Dead Rising
F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon
Grand Theft Auto IV
Hitman: Blood Money
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
Project Gotham Racing 3
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Virtua Fighter 5
Truth be told, it's a longer list than I anticipated. And bearing in mind that I've already refilled quite a few holes in my collection lately, I'm frankly appalled at my own behaviour, leaving so many games unfinished because I rashly traded them in. And that list doesn't include a few games which I rented and need to complete. Help!
Will all of these games get the revival treatment? I honestly can't say, but I will have a damned good try. Though whether I can face even attempting to complete a game like Virtua Fighter 5 (or contemplate it, come to that), remains to be seen…
Happy Gaming!
