Have warranty till May on this one and also enough that I want to play (incl. GTA5). So to buy it then is a good possibility for me.

You are paying for a licence if you buy second hand. So I can imagine it being at near full cost. That said you can also sell your licence once, but the details are vauge

atm. Also it does require connection to the internet once every 24 hours from what I've read. So the machine is not truly offline. All the TV crap is also only for the US

The d-pad has been fixed for a long while with the transforming ones, I think.

I disagree, though I never use the saucer configuration. The raised d-pad made a huge difference.

For fighting games it was utter crap.

And more fragile than original sucky d-pad.

How so? I've had no problem with mine at all.

My Gears 3 Dpad broke, and is malfunctioning, and from a video game store they have several returns of transforming d-pads controllers.

From one friend "I had to return 3 controllers in the first couple of days until I got this one that so far is lasting more than a month."

I'm pretty sure the solution is to just not play fighting games.

I have to agree with FOKEN, The actuation point is too large and i've had 7 snap whilst playing.

i found the chrome D pads to be the worse of the lot.

They keep pushing the use of internet, Skype, etc. I and most other people have a proper device for that i.e laptop or iPad, why the hell would I use my snail-like Xbox.

If you can Skype and Game at the same time (I missed most of the reveal) then that's all I really need, it would be kickass to see the person you are playing with.

BC is right out. Completely different architecture. Also, fee on playing used games with HD installs being mandatory.

Oh, and Kinect is required. Also appears as if XBL titles will not function on it either.

XBLA not working is a huge hurt to me, considering my backlog is around 125 games. I'm sure I'll be getting it at some point, but not day one.

no achievements would be my least concern from your list! Then we`d be back to the true roots of gaming...

connection possible of handling this. 3. Always online will not happen. According to Microsoft upto 40% of xbox users are offline online gamers. They would not cut their

potential sales by that much. 4 is most likely certain. Only certain games could be played on the 360 from the original xbox. Doubt they will bother with backwards

compatibility although saying that I think the marketplace games will still work. So might be wrong on the retail games.

3 & 4 are my problems but MORE kinect will also be an issue for me, I dont mind it but improve kinect playability for other games. (using FORZA as an example here)

maybe they change achievements so they will be harder to obtain, or adding extra achievements suddenly without any dlc

The new Xbox is already outdated as it will not support ULTRA HD TV'S.... unless they add a patch to upconvert.....which is still a fail anyway.

in 3-4 years Ultra will outnumber normal HDTV....and the Xbox one will have 5-7 years left.....hence my point.
