This will unlock after you complete the planet Feros.
If going for the Ally achievements make sure and do all the sidequests available here:
Kill the Varens in the Tunnels, destory the Geth beacon in the tunnels, turn on the three water valves in the tunnels, remove the power cells from the broken down mako (found near the Varen), and download data from a console while in the ExoGeni tower (make sure and talk to the scientist first).
On the return trip from the tower, depending on what side you are going for (Paragon or Renegade) you will get a Thorian Gas Grenade upgrade that you can use on the Colonists without killing them, you will get +2 Paragon for each saved or you can just kill them for +2 Renegade each.
NOTE: If you plan on taking out the colonists make sure you do ALL of their assignments first before you leave for the tower, as once they are dead you can't do their assignments of course.
You will be fighting mainly Geth up until the battle with the Thorian. Shredder rounds are great for the Thorian area as all the enemies are organic: Shoot out the Thorian "arms", after each one an Asari Commando Clone will be released for you to fight alongside all the Thorian Creepers. |
