What Ebon stated is a good guide for the first part of the assassination. The achievement doesn't unlock, however, until you go to the region unlocked after the first attempt.
Strategy is the same though, you will have to get through Robert's men. Robert will only come in after you dispose of them.
Tip for people who want Disciple of the Creed achievement: If you find yourself not at full health, run around the battle area. Both Robert and his men are idiots who don't know the advantage of cutoffs, they just run after you and can never overtake you. ;p
A good tip to save yourself battle time is to grip Robert and throw him. Once he's thrown down, switch to assassin's blade and jump him. That should get you both the Robert and Disciple achievements (if other targets taken with full health bar as well) with minimal fuss.
One last tip: Stay away from the edges of the battle area. Those memory errors apply only to you and can be fatal if your opponents somehow draw you through, forcing you to start the battle over.
