This achievement starts when you enter the giant crater in the Northern Giant Ice Fields, so save it before entering.
A cut scene will start (I skipped most of it for the video) when Shu starts to run up the Giant Robot arm get ready to hit A, then he will run across the robots body and you have to hit A again, the achievement should unlock immediately.
If it doesn't unlock just restore your save file and try again.
