If you are looking at this solution, I would presume you already have the DLC either downloaded or from the GOTY edition disc.
Once you load the game up with the DLC as well, use the wait feature by pressing the back button on your controller. After doing this, you should get a notification about a new quest. It tells you about a strange door in Niben Bay, which is on the southeast part of the map, near Bravil.
When you get to the Bravil area, you will find you have to swim or walk on water to get to the island and when you arrive, you will find a guard (Gaius Prentus) by the door. Talk with him and he will tell you to keep away from the door because of insane adventurers.
Wait a while, someone will appear and promptly get killed by the guard. You will then hear a voice and when the speech is over, you will finally be able to go through the door. You will find yourself in a room with a desk and a man sitting at the opposite side. Sit down in the chair and talk to the man (Haskill). He will ask if you want to travel into the Shivering Isles, accept the offer and the room will merge into another world. Easy first achievement. |

This achievement is part of the shivering isles expansion dlc from xbox live or included in the game of the year edition.
To get this one, you have to enter into the shivering isles by completing the first quest in the chain. If you wait with the dlc installed you will get a notification that there is a new quest. When you select this as your main objective, a waypoint will direct you to the doorway, on a small island, in the river beside Bravil.
Quick travel to the town and make your way across the river to the island. After the event is over, proceed into the door, finish a conversation and the achievement will pop.

| in order to get this achivement you have to have the expansion shivering isles. You should get a quest within a day of in game time when the download is complete the quest will be called ''A door to Nibbin bay'' make it your active quest then go to Bay roan stabels north of Bruma you will see a door somewhat far away into the water swim there wait for the guards an other stuff to happen go in the door and take a seat then just do as Haskill says an you will get the achivement. |
