Just complete story mode with a character on any difficulty, preferably Normal; the lowest. Pretty self explanatory really. However, even on the easiest difficulty some characters will be very hard for newcomers, namely Kasumi, Jann Lee, Zack and ESSPECIALLY Alpha-152, the final boss, who likes to spam incredibly cheap attacks which can take off half your health bar.
