The easiest way to unlock this achievement is to play in the single player tournament (no host booting, no waiting for matches, high enough payouts).
The difficult part is that the AI is way too conservative and annoying.
So here is what I am able to deduce about the AI.
If you raise preflop, most of the computer players will fold, and maybe a few will call . Those that call will 95% of the time be pushed out of the hand by a raise after the flop.
If a computer player raises your raise, then there are two possibilities. If you re-raise their raise (by a fairly substantial amount say 3x), then about 60% of the time the computer player will fold. If the computer player happens to call your re-raise then you better have a good hand because the computer player has something nice.
And sadly, the most annoying feature of the AI is that they almost NEVER bluff. As a result, if you get a good hand, you really have to let them do the betting, and call their bets to raise the pot. Making a bet, even the minimum bet, will cause them to fold.
It's annoying, but you should notice that you can normally just steal all of the blinds by raising preflop. This wont get you a lot of money until the blinds raise though. Luckily, blinds are time based. So have the game deal one hand, flip the channel to a good TV show, come back in 5 minutes, play the hand, and voila! The blinds go up. Rinse and repeat until the blinds are substantially high and you should be able to clean up fairly quickly. |

A modification on the previous method:
I used Limit $2/$4 blinds and set turbo controller to hold both buttons A & Y on the fastest setting but the rubberband trick would may work on both of these as well. This way you can take control of the betting and cause lots of players to fold by re-raising, betting etc instead of just calling and allowing cpu players to play out every hand. Win ratio increases dramatically. Also by playing on Limit you wont risk goin all in. And if you have the extra money play $5/$10 or $10/$20 to really see profits soar quickly. |

Single player 100,000 and 1,000,000 fast and easy. Though you will receive achievement(s) in offline mode. Or try to get less than achievement requires and then go to online and play to earn missing amount.
You need:

*Disc version of game, found on Xbox Arcade Unplugged, Volume 1 disc (This does not work with XBLA download version???)
UPDATE: Czaleo tells this one worked with DOWNLOADED VERSION, so follow instructions to letter and see if it works for you. Quote from his comment: "cleared my cache, deleted the game from the HD, cleared my cache again, shut my xbox off, and when I turned it back on, downloaded the game again, then I got the update notification and everything worked great."
1. Clear system cache (to remove update, as this is patched. Go system settings, storage, hard drive device options)
2. Transfer your profile on USB stick.
3. Start game, decline update.
4. Select Single player, tournament.
5. Select highest tournament you funds allow. If you have less than 4k you have to select Invitational. Press A button.
6. Now you see pay-out table on screen. Press A button.
7. During bank roll summary screen, remove USB stick from xbox. After that, proceed and press A button.
8. Confirmation screen pops up. Select "no" by pressing B button.
9. Game goes back to main menu. When you go to tournament screen, you can see your bank roll increased.
10. You can repeat steps 4-9 as many times as you want, you don't need to insert and remove USB stick between tournaments.
11. When you are finished making money, insert USB stick. You have to start new game - single play or tournament - you can immediately leave table or finish game, to save game and money you made.
100k and 1 million achs pops when you have money and start new game or tournament.
Then you can go back to dashboard and update, you still have all money you made with this glitch. You don't have to win single player tournaments more than once anymore.
Money you get from doing this each time:
Inventional - 1k
Regional - 12k
National - 48k
All World - 375k
