This is one of the more challenging series in the game. For each event, you have to complete several races in a particular order.

Here are some tips:

- Quit out if you are going to take anything less than first place. If you take less than first you'll have to redo the races up to that point in order to retry for the gold. You can quit out with no penalty.

- Obviously you'll want to pick cars with a higher PI. Be sure to balance engine power and handling/tires or you'll wind up with an unsteerable mess (take a stock '66 Ford GT for a spin on a curvy track to see what I mean). For most races, overall top speed is less important than quick acceleration and nimble handling.

- You can hire a driver with a good rating if you don't want to race yourself. You'll get less money but if you pick a good one you'll be guaranteed to win.

- Switch the difficulty to easy if you are having trouble. The computer AI is not very aggressive at the easy level, especially when cornering.

- Resist the urge to always be out in front, especially when the computer AI is set to easy. That's a good way to bash up your car, spin out or ram a wall. Keep pace with the pack and wait for a convenient corner. The computer on easy will brake really early and accelerate late giving you plenty of time to shoot around the AI cars.

Most of the races are pretty easy and you can beat the computer drivers handily if you start with a good car and modify it well. The exception to this is the Ford GT vs. Ferrari 330 event. These two cars have powerful engines but are older and have sloppier handling than most of the other cars in the game and you can't modify them for this event. Even on easy these races can be a challenge. Here are some tips for them if you want to do them yourself and not hire a driver.

- I find the Ferrari 330 to be easier to drive than the Ford GT. The GT has a higher PI but it's main advantage is top speed which is definitely a lower concern than handling.

- Drive conservatively! Those braking lines are NOT kidding. If you drive these cars like they are the R level cars that you are probably used to driving at this point in the game, you will slide all over the road, spin out and lose. You need to start braking as soon as you enter the braking line area. It will probably feel like you are braking way too soon compared to other cars.

- Do not accelerate or brake while turning your steering wheel, if at all possible. Like the loading screen tip says - friction can be used to accelerate (or decelerate, which is negative acceleration) or turn but not both.

- Learn to use a manual transmission. You can use downshifting for extra deceleration.
