The best place to attempt this Achievement is in the second phase of Episode I, Chapter 6 - Darth Maul. To either side of the arena, a battle droid commander calls in reinforcements in large numbers. They pack themselves pretty close together.
Enter this level in Free Play mode after purchasing one of the bounty hunter characters (Boba Fett, Greedo, IG-88. etc). Allow a large group of battle droids to assemble on the platform, then stand back and lob in a thermal detonator. If you don't get it the first time, hang around on the platforms that have the "air current" flowing through them so that you can stay out of the way while they respawn and collect. Then drop down and try again until you get it. |

| Not sure why anyone has not posted THE FASTEST way of doing this! Choose Bubba Fett (anyone that throws thermals) and go into the Bonus Levels. Here enemies keep respawning and clutter together. I choose Episode I Bonus and just waited until about 12-15 enemies were together and threw a single bomb and got the achievement!!!! That simple, achievement unlocked. |

I did this in Episode III, Chapter 4 (Defense of Kashyyyk). The third area has two droid commanders endlessly calling droids 12 at a time, which gives you a nice supply to work with. I recommend using one of the ghosts and a bounty hunter that's not too many clicks away in free play mode -- I used Ben Kenobi (Ghost) and Greedo.
As the ghost, the droids will mob you but not attack. Let all of them get around you, then quickly switch through the characters to the bounty hunter (for me it was 2 left buttons away) and immediately throw a thermal detonator with the B button. As soon as it hits a droid, it will detonate and take out most of the mass of droids -- and probably you as well. That should be enough, but if not, keep the droid commanders alive and you'll have unlimited droids to try with. |

Once you unlock a bounty hunter, play Chapter 1 of Episode 1 in freeplay. In the last room with the two droideka's, just run around a little bit in the big open area until you get a whole group of droids together and throw a detonator at them.
I was able to get this on my first try by leading the droids into the bottom left corner. |

| The way I completed this was to go to Episode IV, Death Star Escape in Free Play. Make sure you have a Bounty Hunter selected (obviously) and make your way to where you open a door to that large room filled with 20-30 Storm Troopers. Toss a detonator, a bunch of them die, achievement pops. I had Super Detonators and Invincibility enabled as well and it worked for me. Pretty easy. |
