Shooting the moon is when you take all the Hearts cards and the Queen of Spades in one round. To take cards you need to deal the highest scoring card of the starting suit of each round. Aces are high.

This really isn't too difficult to do during play, but to make it easier you can co-ordinate the dealing of cards in multiplayer to ensure that you get the cards dealt you need.
