Thanks to NFSDrew and those who announced and confirmed it. I am sourcing my copy of the game ASAP and I suggest anyone that still needs this does the same, who knows how long this will stay online.
4 years and 9 months, that has to be some kind of record for getting an achievement fixed...

This achievement has been turned off since July 2007. We were working with EA to turn it back on but after a long time of false hope and broken promises their community managers never delivered, even with an thread open for an entire year and hundreds of signups asking for the achievement.

Edit: signup thread of shame got blown away in the xbox.com forum re-faildesign. This Facebook page got created by somebody keeping the hope alive. Don't stop, believing!
