This achievement is called "King of the Hill" to unlock this achievement you need to defeat Arishok which happens at the end of Act 2. You will face him alone in single combat just you and him. When you fight him your best tactic is to kite him or else he will stab his sword through you and inflict massive damage, if your a rogue or warrior keep your stamina up while you kite, if your a mage keep your mana up. *For those who don't know what kiting is, it's basically where you run around out of the bosses range while waiting to attack it, in this case waiting for stamina and health potion cd's (cooldown's)*

During the fight Arishok will use potions to recover some of his health, just keep kiting while waiting for the CD of your mana and stamina potions to end, once you have enough stamina/man attack with your best skills, and resume kiting. Do this until you have defeated him and the achievement is yours.

*Credit to N0va Lif3 for this part* Before you fight him however you may decline to fight him 1 on 1 and this will allow you to bring your party in to fight him making the fight easier, but it's still wise to not stay around attacking him for to long so he doesn't spear you with his sword.

*If you are gonna leave a negative vote please comment why, it's a viable solution for all classes*

This is my solution using a rogue:

General Strategy

* Turn off all sustained abilities. You need your stamina for activated power attacks in this fight, as you're not going to be doing a lot of hack and slash with this guy.

* Activate the Mabari. He can be a distracter, get in the way of the Arishok's path, and will do some damage here and there (he even pinned the Arishok in a corner for a few minutes at one point, until the Arishok did his rush move and killed the dog).

* Use a poison -- I recommend Deathroot Toxin. You want your attacks to really count, as you'll be doing a lot of hit and run.

* When attacking, only use ONE activated ability at a time. I found that when I did a two-ability combo (e.g., backstab + twin fangs) I was left wide open for a very bad counterattack chain. Just use backstab, or twin fangs, or another activated ability (assassinate, etc.) but do not stay in melee range for long.

* Whenever your health is <50%, use a health potion. If you need to run around while it cools down, do it.

* Whenever your stamina is <25%, use a stamina potion.

* Run in a figure-8 pattern around the pillars. The Arishok is faster than you (no idea why) and you need the AI path-finding delay to avoid being meleed endlessly.

The Arishok's abilities:

* The spear move will ruin you. Avoid it. He doesn't appear to do it until you've gotten his health fairly low (mid-late battle), but it was usually taking my health down 50% or more. You will be doing that roll-around get up stuff afterwards, and he often follows it with another knockdown move. As long as you stay out of melee range, you won't get hit with this too often (but it will happen, trust me).

* The rush move. Does a fair bit of damage, but often sets up a combo if you're near a wall. Dodge it, and then hit him in his short recovery period.

* Arcing swinging blades: If you see him doing this (or starting to) avoid him. Period. Nothing to be gained in fighting it, so run off and heal/stamina up.

* Dual overhead blades: A good time to get in a quick hit from behind.

* Healing. He appears to heal twice in a battle, each of the first two times you get him down to 50-60% health. He did not heal thereafter in any of my attempts.

When to attack:

* Immediately after he does the rush attack. This is when he runs quickly in one direction until he hits a wall. As soon as he does it, avoid it and follow him to the wall. Immediately use an activated ability. Do not melee attack, as he has a number of moves that he can do even when you're behind him, and he will at this time.

* Immediately after the dual overhead attack. He is exposed very briefly at this moment.

* DO NOT attack him when he's doing the arcing swing attacks. You will get hit, and he is able to attack very quickly after.

* In any situation when he is vulnerable, you can use a Miasmic Flask to extend that vulnerability. If you do, I recommend ONLY meleeing, and only until he starts to recover. It is likely that he will hit you in response, but it usually is not the spear move that ruins you. Don't stretch any attacks out more than you need to -- stay alive.

* You can also use a Miasmic Flask if you get ahead of him and he's coming around the pillar. Throw it at your feet. Note that about 25% of the time it seems not to have any effect, perhaps due to activating one of his abilities before the Flask hits. Be careful, but you may need this from time to time.

Good luck! This battle is very irritating and not at all fun, at least until you win. I lost this battle twice where he had a sliver of health left, so don't get cocky.

This is my first guide, and I'm writing this as a guide for rogues since this fight was dragging on for me.

I always have about 10 of those "Maker's Sigh" potions on me just for situations where you have to be adaptive like this. They are the potions you can buy from The Black Emporium that allot you to re-allocate all of your attribute and skill points upon consumption.

Also, I found Restoration Potions best because they give back stamina too. And if you found it, the Life Ward potion just in case. Brings you back as soon as you die.

At this point in the story I was at level 19 and I had accumulated a few of those books that give you the bonus points for skills.

I maxed out the Duelist tree since it boosted defense. I chose the dagger skills next for Backstab and Twin Fangs. Miasmic Flask works on him sometimes, but don't rely on it. I used it just when he was attacking the dog. If it worked, great, if it didn't it wasn't a game ender. Backstab and Vendetta (From duelist tree) both instantly get you behind him.

I would suggest against kiting him because he heals and the fight takes forever.

I know most of this should be common sense for anyone who has been playing a rogue the entire game up to this point, but I hope someone benefits from reading this.

To get this achievement you will have to make him fight 1v1 I'm not sure about any other scenario but this one worked for me

I suggest having this on the easiest difficulty as he is quite hard on easy.I found it easy as a mage as you attack from a distance.

Basically avoid his attacks And use lightning and stone fist(quick spells)etc
Note:when the arishok charges at you he will be stunned for a second if he misses you use this to your advantage
