Playing a baseball game, I'm going to assume that you know what's a strikeout.

If you're having troubles getting strikes, throw the ball: Down & Away. So left & down on Right handed batters, Right & Down on left handed batters. This tends to be the weakest zone of batters.

If you have access to the Inside Edge (press Right or Left on the D-Pad pre-pitch). Check the batter's weakness. If you're in Franchise mode, you have to buy each team's Inside Edge report (including your own team's report).

If you're still having troubles getting strikes, adjust the difficulty settings. This game Does Not disable achievements for this. Lower the CPU's hitting abilities, and you can get an easier strikeout.

Not obtainable in My Player mode.
