Well, it's no exactly a solution, more like a tip...
The fact is that many people think that you can play the Grand Slam once a week, or twice at the maximum (if you play with the female player as well). The trick is that you can play as many times as you wish!
All you have to do is create another player and level him up to level 20 (using the fast development stuff you get after you reach level 20 for the first time). Then whenever you lose the Grand Slam, switch the player for another one you created using the "change player" prompt you get everytime you enter the World Tour mode. Then you're gonna find that the Grand Slam is available to play again. Keep trying your luck in the Grand Slam and eventually you'll get there. If you're having difficulties, trying boosting with someone else.
