(This is mostly a copy and paste from my solution for A Hit With The Ladies, since there is obvious overlap...)
For this achievement you need to max out the bond stat with 5 males. In order to increase your bond with a character, you have a few options.
1. Talking to them in town. In order for them to even show up in a town, you need to have unlocked a town (obviously) and you also need to have finished at least one of their legendary battles. The legendary battles are the tiles with a face on them. Each tile is for a different character, so for this achievement you'll need to do at least one legendary battle for 5 males.
People appears in towns at random, but when you highlight a city tile, it will show you in the tooltip box who is in that town, so you don't have to suffer a loading screen to check who it is. If the tile has a flag stuck in it, there is a person in it.
2. Helping them out in a mission. If you are playing an escort/rescue/base defense mission you will generally get a bond increase for whoever you are protecting/saving/whatever. You could technically use this option to increase their bond to max without ever doing a legendary battle to get them to show up in town, but that would take far longer.
3. Use them as a sworn ally. Probably the fastest way, after getting their bond stat to a certain level they will be a sworn ally and you can take them into battle by setting them as a sworn ally with the teahouse town NPC. I've never seen someone become a sworn ally from anything but a town conversation, yet it may be possible to do it from a battle.
Regardless, once you have them set as a sworn ally, play an easy battle and rush the commander to finish it quickly. Doing this you can get them up to max bond in 10-15 minutes (I prefer the two tiles next to the city you start at, in the northeast corner).

I would like to add that you can have Congeniality on both your main and second weapon and they effect will stack, adding .25 of a bar each. So it is .5 of a bar without Congeniality / .75 with it on one weapon / 1 with it on both. Posted by Darth Sporker on 05 Apr 11 05:43:37
Congeniality is a seal that increases the amount your officer bound goes up when you get increases, making this idea very useful. |
