This achievement cannot be missed, as it's part of the story.
Starting chapter 9, you'll be carried over by Wheatley until he drops you on a plataform surrounded by metal plates with spikes. Use the white gel to mark the platform you're in so you can get out of the way. After that, the achievement should pop.


P.S.: after dodging the spikes, you can come back and drop to the pit for the "Pit Boss" achievement. You should stick around a few minutes, though, since the dialogue here is really funny.
