The achievement is 'Collect ten or more GEMs in one SESSION of the Take Off! Activity. There are four rounds in a session, so its 10 GEMs accumulated over the four rounds. So you could get, for example four in the first round, one in the second round, three in the third round, and two in the fourth round for a total of ten.

If you're having trouble with this on the first few tries try to remember the names of the rounds (2x2, Cloud Steps, etc.) and remember where the GEMs are. The GEMs are always located in the same place for each game.
