There is really nothing difficult about beating this game on normal difficulty, but there are a few things to be aware of:
Some of the duels can be a bit frustrating. Employ a lot of blocking and dodge-and-hit maneuvers to build up Zeal. Save as much Zeal as possible for the boss's last health orb and then use Celian's charge attack to whittle him down quickly. What I did for all the duels is to dodge when the boss's attack indicator popped up, then quickly come back and hit him once. this will build up a lot of Zeal. When he has one health orb left (and starts regenerating health) use your stockpile of Zeal on Charge attacks to quickly take him out. Note that in most duels you don't need to empty all of the boss;s health orbs. If he has one full orb left you should just need to empty the red health bar to win.
Most importantly, take note that you MUST play the game from start to finish for this difficulty achievement to count. I don't mean that you have to play it in one sitting. What I mean is when you quit out of the game and come back to play again you MUST use the CONTINUE option. DO NOT use the Chapter Select option under any circumstances until you are done with your playthrough. If you use Chapter Select, it will reset your difficulty progress on all previous chapters. This applies to Hard difficulty as well. If you missed a Bonus Objective or a Collectible, just leave it until after you complete your playthrough. Once you complete it, you can then use Chapter Select to go back and get anything you may have missed. |
