Spell Link happens when both partners use battle charge (using battle magic and holding down RB) on one another at the same time. It creates some sort of tether in the form of a floating skull rotating between E'lara and Caddoc fending off enemies. Dragon's Breath, Sigil of Pain, and Brimstone are considered battle magic so using the same or different ones on your partner will both work.
If you are playing through the story for the first time, it may unlock later in the game after obtaining the 7th(?) Dragon Tear, it will prompt your character that you can now use spell links. Alternatively, you can also get this achievement in the Crucible playing on "25 Room Hell" as both E'lara and Caddoc are pretty maxed out in terms of character progression and without having spell link unlocked in the main story.
Note: Even though the description says Adventure Mode, I was able to obtain this achievement playing the Crucible.
Grab a friend or play solo and keep battle charging one another to create a spell link and after 20 times the achievement is yours. |
