The quickest and easiest way I have found to do this find a crucible map that gives you a lot of gold very quickly.
The map I have been using is by GHOSTDOG 360 and is called 30,000 golden. To find this map go to browse maps > All creators > GHOSTDOG 360 > 30,000 golden.
(GHOSTDOG 360 should be on the first page of results)
There is a total of just over 30,000 gold to be had on this map. The amount you get is related to the amount of kills you get. The more kills the more gold.
Its not the easiest map to do but it is easy enough and gives a good reward. I was averaging 20,000 per go and it takes less 10 minutes to do. If you struggle with this map GHOSTDOG 360 also has made a map called 10,000 golden which is easier but obviously will take a bit longer to get the amount of gold you need.
