Starting with only 5 villagers, this mission requires you to build 10 farms in 5 minutes. You also start from the Copper Age (Age 1) and have 3 Spearman and 1 Scout. This is the last of the progressive training mission.
Upon starting use all your villagers and build a Storehouse, preferably as close to a copse of trees and near a berry bush. Train 2 villagers with your remaining food at your town centre, and put the gather point at the berry bush. Use your scout to try and find a pair of cows (the map is randomly generated so you may have trouble, if you don't find a pair, don't panic it's still possible but you have less leeway) once found, send them back to the villagers and farm that for food instead. Keep training villagers till you get to the 4 minute mark (1 minute gone, 4 minutes left), once there stop training. You need to quickly gather 200 food and 200 wood to advance to the next age. Gather food until you hit the mark. If you go over, keep one villager gathering food and the rest gathering wood from the nearby copse. That one villager is going to build one more villager in the next age (50 food), once this villager has hit their mark, move them to lumberjacks. When you assign a group of people to one tree some dumb things may happen: 1: Villagers may go round to other side of the copse and start working there, pull them back onto the side nearest the Storehouse, the shorter distance they have to walk the better. 2: Villagers may not want to work on the same tree, you cannot let villagers idle, simply move them to another tree. 3: Villagers don't move. If they are trapped by something click in another direction to get them to walk away from the trap and move. If they can't move at all, delete them. The last thing you want is some idiot in your way
When you are in the second age, take a villager and let them build a farm (Hotkey F), let the others continue working, take as many villagers as possible to build if you are over-stockpiled (If you have more than 250 wood add another farm builder).
Keep an eye on the builders progress and as soon as they are done make them build another farm. If you are short (less than 100), send them back as a lumberjack. Don't let them idle
When you know you only have one more farm to start building, highlight most of your lumberjack villagers and drop off their resources, and start building the last one with all of them. After all, the last one doesn't need more wood left over. If you have enough wood to build the last one, take them all.
Dada! The achievement pops once you win an accept the reward.
TIPS: Use your keyboard hotkeys - these are the defaults When selecting a villager: F = Build Farm S = Build Storehouse Unselected: V = Select Idle Villager Ctrl+V = Select all (Idle) Villagers Ctrl+C = Select Town Centre When selecting the Town Centre A = Train Villager
You only need two cowsgeddit?, looking for more is a waste of time.
At times, wolves will spawn and annoy your villagers taking precious seconds away, place your scout and your spearmen around where you gather and build, if the wolves do spawn at least your military can take care of them without distraction.
Don't let villagers idle!
There's no need for villagers to actually farm something. Move them somewhere else when done. More than one villager can build a farm.
Gear/Advisor bonuses that will help but are not necessary Villager movement speed Villager gather rate (bush, huntables, trees) Villager carry capactity Villager train time Age research time Build speed (storehouse, farm) Farm cost Villager cost Storehouse cost
Wheelbarrow is not something you want to spend time reseaching. You'll have to go out of your way to get gold for something that won't pay off too well in the long run.
It is possible to do that without any gear or bonuses. I managed to do it without any bonuses with 5 seconds to spare. |

This quest is a simple one, I and my friend have completed this qust using this strategy and if you have good timing you cannot fail. The objective is to build 10 farms in 5 minutes.
1. Send all your villagers off to a berry bush to collect meat. Queue 2 more villagers. Right click on the berry bush when the Town Hall is selected to make the villagers auto-matically go there when trained. 2. Send your scout around the map to look for cows. When he has found 2 cows, go near the cows. You should now have taken over the cows, so send them back to the Town Hall. Make them close to the Town Hall. 3. Stop the villagers collecting from Berry Bushes and make them collect from cows. Villagers collect from cows twice as fast and the cows are right next to the Town Hall for quick meat drop off. 4. During all of this you should be training as many villagers as you can. (Press Ctrl+0 to select Town Hall when away from it). You should need 14 villagers. Do not train any more. 5. The 10th villager should build a Storehouse next to some trees. Then continue to collect meat. 6. When the 14th villager is trained make sure you have 200 meat then send all villagers onto wood. 7. Advance to Age II when you have enough wood. 8. Continue to collect as much wood as you can. You should need 1000 wood. Do not build any farms as it will mean you can collect the wood faster. 9. When you have 1000 wood send them all to build the farms. Multiple villagers can build on the same farm, and that is what you will want to happen. This will decrease building time and make it quicker.
You will need premium for this quest so you will also be able to get Gears and Advisors. If you have any, make sure that you use them to upgrade the villagers collecting speed and capacity. You need to be very focused on the game or else you could be seconds off and then fail. Always check the time so you know when to build farms. You can complete this with 30 seconds remaining, and on your first try so it is not impossible. Make sure villagers are at work all the time. When a farm is built, the main builder will start to farm. You do not want this. Make the farmer build more farms. Do not lay down more then 10 farms as this is a waste. If you do this properly then you wont have enough for an 11th anyway.
Your achievement should pop up. Feel free to find the Treasure Chest on the map for few more things. |
