In order to chain attacks, you have to alternate which weapons you use. For instance, you press X, B, Y, X, B, Y in a pattern. If you attack with the same weapon twice in a row or if you miss a hit, you lose the chain.
If you can't find enough enemies in a group to perform a chain because they die too quickly or if the chickens are too chaotic to hit consistently, just attack some Undead because they won't die unless you use Nature weapons. You can get a 10x chain on the first 2 ghosts you encounter in the game. It's during a quest involving a child's toy, very early in the game. |
