There is an Crystal Helebard that can be upgraded without the need of the Crystal Ember and also needs much less because its already crystal, but i don't remember where i got it...

Edit: It is located in the Room right after the first bonfire in Anor Londo in the Mimic Chest to the right and is guarded by two Big Knights.
