I managed to do this my first try so it should not be too hard. You start out with 10 chances to get as many points as you can. The farther you hit the ball the more points you get. Getting a home run gives you an extra chance so you'll need to get at least a few home runs in order to get enough points to surpass 2500. I ended up with over 3000 my first try.

I noticed that getting home runs is easier if you make a conscious attempt to swing up and out rather than just a line drive swing. As a baseball player myself this goes against what most batting coaches would say, but this is a game.
