To earn this achievement, you must go through all of a specific difficulty (you have to beat Lou) as a lefty and righty. You do not have to start a new band to earn this achievement! Furthermore, you can turn off the game and come back to it later. Just make sure you're completing a difficulty that has 0 songs completed.
To turn on lefty flip, go to options, controller, and set lefty flip for player 1. Once you have done that, simply go into a band and complete a difficulty on lefty flip. The best choice is to use easy since you have to play the fewest amount of songs. If you're respectable on expert, I'd go use a mirror so that way you can earn more money for the $350k. Before using a mirror, I'd check if your television or monitor has a flip/mirror function. This should flip the screen and make it look like you're playing correctly. |

A great way to achieve this is to start a new band and make sure you only play a song on that band on lefty. Play through the game on easy. It's much faster then medium, or any other difficulty. When you defeat Lou, the achievement will unlock.
This is also recommended if you're aiming for the 5* all easy songs, or to just beat easy (like me). After you get the achievement, you can stop using lefty flip. Hope this helps. |

Just to clear this up, as I was a bit confused.
I had my band which I was doing on right hand which I had completed easy and medium on ..
I then created a new band and did easy (less songs) and then hit slow ride, whilst in the song I paused > options > lefty flip and restarted the song, then played all the songs I needed to (looking in a mirror really helps later on) and as soon as I finished off Lou, POP :D |

I suggest creating a new career after completing the righty career on whatever difficulty to play the game in a new, fresh lefty career. I started doing this with a guitar controller but when I used a regular controller it was a lot easier, specially if you play on easy.
You also do not need to win the challenges, except for the final challenge (final boss). |

I'm doing this achievement now, and I find it's easiest as follows: New band, Easy difficulty, Regular controller - held upside down! Sounds silly, but this way the Yellow and Blue are now on the Left and the Red and Green are now on the Right -- just as they are on your screen! It just takes getting used to in terms of grip, and when you Boss battle. As I say, I've found this quite easy. I'm done, but NOTE: this cheevo is glitchy! So it hasn't registered for me. :( I'm playing the songs again to see if switching between "band" careers has any effect... I strongly recommend working on this achievement FIRST and only -- then doing others.

Just a little note for some of the confused people out there
No you don't have to complete all the songs just do the ones you need in order to get to the next gig(preferably the shortest songs)
Its just a matter of beating Lou, and then BAM there's your achievement
Oh yes and to stay on the safe side i would create a new band just for this lefty flip achievement

| For this achievement, you have to complete a career righty and lefty. Once you complete your righty career, just go to the main menu and turn on lefty flip from the options. You should create a new band for your lefty career. What I did was play on expert for righty and lefty. The trick to this is to place a good sized mirror so that you can see the tv through it. Once you start your lefty career, you can just play while looking at the mirror so it looks like you don't have lefty flip on even though you do. |
