Fairly simple and fun thing to do aside from the career mode. From the Main Menu go into Community and from the list given, select Rivals. There are seven events to choose from, plus some opportunities to grab other achievements associated with these races/events:
Monthly - Compete against a rival ghost car in timed events created by Turn 10. Events change monthly.
Top Gear - Timed challenges in unusual car and track pairings brewed up by the minds at Top Gear.
Hot Laps - Pre-selected cars to do your best lap in.
Time Attack - Use your own car and tuning set up to provide the best time on the track.
Track Days - Compete against a rival ghost car while avoiding other drivers on the track, first car across the finish line wins.
Autocross - Navigate through cones, most cones maneuvered through and fastest across the finish line wins.
Drift - Highest drifting score between you and your rivals, wins.
Just choose an event, select a Rival, and then complete the race. Once you have finished, you will have posted your time for the said event automatically. You only have to do one race/lap per event, no need to do all races in a single event unless you like the Rivals mode. You do not have to win, just make sure you complete the lap and choose to finish the race (thanks for the confirmation RGC Mike UNC RC). If you want to win them, usually the lower level drivers are easier to win against. It is also safe to use rewind if you need to. |
