This is an excellent playthrough video by prenatual I found on YouTube. All credit goes to him.

Description:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The Missing Link. Factory Zero playthrough.

Perfect ghosting (no enemies alerted). No take-downs (except "the boss room"), no aug upgrades, no weapons, no items (except quest-related). 'Give me Deus Ex' difficulty. 9/10 achievements earned (except That Old Adage, which requires CASIE aug).

As the achievement dialogue states, you cannot use any weapon, grenade, or use any praxis points.

This means you can't utilize the points you earn by gaining levels EITHER. You need to do the entire DLC with the stock enhancements they provide. Just take your time, save often, and explore a lot. You'll be crawling through a lot of air ducts and scrounging for pocket secretaries a lot, since you won't be able to hack anything above level 1. Make sure you take down as many guards as you can - quite a few of them have pocket secretaries on them.

I would also recommend not even picking up any weapons, grenades or praxis kits. Just remove the chance for an accident and/or temptation. When you first get your gear back, there are two boxes on the floor - one for praxis kits (7) and another for guns. Don't open either one.

Good luck!

I completed the entire add on including all achievements on easy setting in 8 hours, its actually pretty easy as long as you use stealth to your advantage remembering you only have 2 energy bars and only single takedowns so if your up against 2 guys either avoid them or take 1 out and hide till your bar fills up if you had just 1 bar to begin with.

You can use pro energy bars, painkillers as much as you like just dont use weapons, praxis kits or grenades..

If like me your going for the clean sweep in 1 run make use of save points you only need to use a weapon once in the entire add on to blast the cylinder to save both the prisoners and the scientist so make a save point use the weapon get the achievement and revert back to the save point and then choose 1 or the other.

Dont even bother picking up grenades and when you visit the store only purchase what you need i.e pro energy bars, etc..

Drop all weapons you may pick up and never have them equipped and this achievement will be a breeze.

**WARNING: THIS GUIDE MAY CONTAIN MINOR SPOILERS**

As the name states, you must complete the DLC chapter with only your stock abilities (as Keitner says in the opening cinema, your augments have been reset to Factory Zero.) This means you cannot use any praxis kits that you find or gain through level progression. You also cannot use any weapons, including non-lethal weapons. It is unconfirmed yet, but this may include your lethal takedown arm blades. Just to be safe, I would avoid using anything other than your non-lethal takedowns.

My best advice for this playthrough is the start on "Tell Me a Story". You'll be dealing with enemies up close and personal, and quite often, so I wouldn't recommend adding the stress of them killing you more quickly.

For the first section, while you're still on the boat, its best to not trigger any alarms. Perform stealth takedowns on only those necessary with pocket secretaries. The two in the first hall are the guy next to the armory door under the camera are the only essentials really, along with a few others for disabling laser grids. Keeping off the alarms will ensure that a) the guards on the bottom floor will not have set mines up and b) the loading bay will not be swarming when you get off the boat.

The only areas of concern are the first loading bay after you get off the boat (large sentry robot), the second floor of the detention wing (two small sentry robots), the final area with Burke (large sentry robot), and a few areas with mounted turrets or typhoon turrets. The turrets can typically be snuck around with ease, especially the third floor detention typhoons. The robots cannot be killed though, since you can't use EMP grenades and cannot hack them, so you'll have to run from them or sneak around them. On "Tell Me A Story", this shouldn't be too difficult.

While playing, you'll want to use takedowns on every guard you can. This will make exploration much easier, which is a necessity. Since you'll only have two bars of energy, you'll need to find credits and CyberPro packs wherever you can. You can buy a good amount from Quinn, and you'll get a healthy amount when you access his stash during the endgame. Since you'll never be restoring more than one full bar, you shouldn't worry about using those jars and packs as needed.

This playthrough can be done in conjunction with all the other achievements rather easily, if you want to get them all in one go. Before key areas for other achievements that require augmentations, you can save beforehand in a separate slot, allocate the praxis points you need. Use stealth for "Apex Predator", CASIE for "That Old Adage", jumping for "Never Forget" and "All of the Above" (which can be done without, but this makes it easier). Then once you have the achievements you can load your previous file and continue without any augments.

This achievement is actually easier than it lets on. I found it quite enjoyable to run around punching everybody. Hopefully this guide will help and you'll have fun doing this!
