Firstly to record a sound your Kinect Microphone must be turned on. You can tell if your Kinect Microphone is off if the game notifies you after you select START that your Kinect Microphone is Turned Off.

To turn on your Kinect Microphone, if turned off, you can quickly access this by pressing the Guide Button (The one in the center of your controller) and move over to the far right blade (Settings) and navigating down to Preferences and select it which will take you to the preferences tab which you will then need to go to Voice and uncheck the box that states Mute Kinect.

If you have first started Musical Feet with your Kinect Microphone on you will be directed to the Record Sound feature automatically. If you turned on your Kinect Microphone after starting the game you will need to maneuver to the Record Sound feature manually.

Note that you will need at least 7 feet of play space (and half a foot so you are not confined on the keyboard space) to adequately step on the projected keyboard. If the room is too dark or too bright the calibrations will fail and if you have less than 7 feet of play space you may need to move or step on some furniture to hit the keys. When selecting various options within the game menu you will need to put at least one foot on the selected operation you wish to perform. If you want to select a button that was in the place of the previous button you selected, you will need to take your foot or feet off of the button and place them back.

After you have recorded a sound have another person enter the play space and have each of you press at least one key and the achievement will unlock. Only the primary player will unlock the achievement (the one signed and recognized as Player 1).

If you cannot achieve the achievement through standard measures of obtaining another human being, try using other various objects in your house, especially those that can roll, slide, or be minipulated by you. Some of the most successful objects mentioned below range from long pillows, clothed chairs vacuum cleaners, and even large animals (such as a dog). Remember not to give up if the achievement doesn't unlock. Try to get creative and use your imagination on what will best represent another human being to the Kinect Sensor.
