Once you have a few Caltrop Bombs (either by crafting them or buying them from a black market dealer), look around for a scaffold. I found a lot of scaffold around the docks area in the Galata District.
Once you have located a scaffold find some nearby guards and piss them off so they are chasing you. You will carefully have to throw your bomb down so they are "stunned" in the front of the scaffold. Once they are stunned, you will have to run using RT and by running parallel to the front of the scaffold, once you get to the edge of the scaffold you'll have to press b, make sure you untarget whom ever you have targeted as the game automatically targets someone that was stunned by the Caltrop Bomb.
This process is tricky and I recommend you testing it out first. Also please check out the posted video as it shows you how to do it because it is harder to explain verbally then it is to physically show you.
It is a cumulative total, I know this first hand because I had four deaths on my first scaffold and on my second scaffold (consisting on three deaths) the achievement pop'd.

| Just to add to all of the guides above, i recommend as well as crafting the caltrop bombs craft some cherry bombs. then once you have found a scaffold wait until a guard unit is in earshot, throw the cherry bomb to attract the guards directly in front of the scaffold then throw the caltrops to stun them before running in and dragging the scaffold down on top of them. should only take a couple of tries to get the timing down. |

Go to a Crafting Table or Black Market Dealer and buy/craft a few Impact Caltrop Bomb.
Then search a scaffold and Guards nearby, make them angry and run with them to the scaffold. Drop a caltrop Bomb, then try to pull down the scaffold (You do that by Hold RT and press B, if you run towards the edge of the scaffold. This is very tricky, cuz you will automatically focus the guards) while they are stunned.
The good think that you don't need to take five guards by once (as you see in the video)

I found a really easy way to this ealier today. On the Piri Reis Caltrops mission there are several groups of 5 guards. They are also the guards that fight with the Janissaries.
So, you need to get them to chase you to a scaffold, I found a couple before escaping the area. Hang around for a group of the other guards, and then throw the caltrops. This way, you have more than 5.
Now, pull down the scaffold.
Since you have 2 extra caltrops, you can try this twice, and if it doesn't work, just replay the mission. You don't have to worry about finding the ingredients, a scaffold, and a group of five guards. This mission has all of them.
Now, just in case the scaffolds don't return when you replay, I don't know because I got this my first try, I'd suggest going to the animus island, then returning. |

the easiest place i found to do this achievement was in sequence 5 memoer 3 aka.arsenal infiltration there are about 7 or 8 scaffolds scattered around the port. make sure you start the mission with 3 caltops bombs and full medicine. you don't have to worry about guards as the area i full of them , but the thing you do have to worry about is the part when you get to the scaffold. the first time i done this the guards wouldn't get close enough to the scaffolding, so when i done it the second time i let the guards swarm around me and kept healing myself, when i was convinced there were enough guards i threw the caltrops bomb on the floor. then i pulled the scaffolding down, the only problem with the scaffolding is that sometimes ezio dosent pull it down, the easiest way to pull down a scaffolding down is to run at it and turn around and whilst you are turning around hit the B button on the controller.
i recommend practicing pulling down scaffoldings before you go for the achievement.
credit goes to fattaff69: for some people they found it eaiser to jump on the scaffolding so that the guards hang around at the bottom it 1 or 2 guards get up just knock them down and if they die their will always be more guards in the mission. when you are ready throw the caltrops bomb hang and drop off of the scaffolding and proceed to pull the scaffolding down |
