In order to score more than 3000 points on a single shot you need to hit the 300 point target on a star shot while having a 3x multiplier. Make sure to take note where the 300 point target is prior to shooting because they move after each shot.

To avoid getting your shot blocked by the red X, shoot the puck just before the X crosses whatever target you're aiming for.
