| To help people that are having trouble getting this and to add to the great solution above the runner needs to be on base BEFORE you bring in your closer I couldn't get it to pop for the life of me and ive popped it on three seperate accounts doing it this way. Hope this helps. |

You need to get a Save, with a runner on base (Any base). It's not that hard to get.
You need to be leading by 1 Run, and have a runner on base.
Here's a longer example:
Yankees vs. Red Sox
Yankees are winning 3 - 2, in the 9th Inning. There are 2 outs.
Mariano Rivera is on the mound, Dustin Pedroia is at-bat..
Jacoby Ellsbury is on 1st base.
Rivera gets the 3rd out, and gets the save.
The achievement should pop up.

A save requires the following criteria to be met:
He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his team;
He is Not the winning pitcher;
He is credited with at least 1/3 of an inning pitched; and
The finishing pitcher meets at least ONE of the following:
- lead of no more than three runs and pitches for at least 1 inning
- Entering the game, regardless of the count, with the tying run either on base, at bat or on deck
- He pitches for at least three innings |
