Just unlocked this myself. I tried two different ways to do this, and simming through the world series the second time DOES NOT work if you want this achievement. It is a MUST to actually play the games of the world series.
If you are going to lose a game you can always dashboard before it saves, or you could use two save files with one as a backup just in case.
Make sure to have sliders on in your favor, they are essential if you want to move through the achievements relatively fast.

I'm a pitcher on my career. I played the 6th game to make it 3-3. Save and simmed the last for the win. It unlocked.

You might want to include that it doesn't have to be with the same team, I traded half way through the season to the best team (texas), that way I didn't have to play all the games in the season. |
