Repeating Battle for Henderson Field is an easy way to bag this achievement with minimal resistance. Just play on Simplified.
Once you've killed or destroyed as many grounds units as possible, just restart the mission. The kills tally to your total the second you make the kill, no completing/saving required.

If you need to check your progress hit the Main Menu and then Y for the Logbook.
