I faced this boss on Lucia mission 6 at the very beginning of the mission. I do not know if you face this boss as Dante, as I started with Lucia.

This boss is really really easy. The method I used was just go into DT mode by pressing Left bumper and just spam your darts/knives. Just remember the jump around the Larva. When you beat Noctpteran you will get this achievement. Good luck post any questions on this and I shall answer as quickly as I can.
